Camping Pods

Do you still like the outdoorsy experience but are
looking for something a little more weather-proof and secure? If so, our wooden tents may be just the pitch you're looking for. Some people call them camping pods and you've probably heard of the term 'glamping' (think glamorous camping).

What we're trying to offer is a camping-type experience but without the less favourable elements of your weekend away. We're keeping it fairly simple so you'll still need to bring your camp beds, cooking gear, and sleeping bags etc - so that's basically everything except the tent really!

The benefits
  • No more unpacking your wet tent when you get home to dry it over the back of the sofa!
  • Leave your gear while you're out for the day safely and securely behind a locked door.
  • No more listening to the snoring of the campers next door!
  • Two plug sockets for phone chargers, blow-up bed pumps, hair driers, and kids electronic games etc.

How big are they?
The regular pods sleep about four people, maybe more if they're young kids, and the family pod offers enough room for about six. The internal floor width is about half an inch short of eight feet (2.43m) on both sizes, the regular pods are about nine feet seven long (2.93m) and the family pod is about thirteen feet six long (4.1m). These dimensions increase a little with height as the walls slope outward. The ceilings are seven feet ten, (2.4m) at their highest.

Booking Info
  • All bookings must be for a minimum of two nights, and three nights at Bank Holiday weekends.
  • Pets are only allowed at the discretion of the booking clerk.
  • Prices start at £38/night for the regular pods and £44 for the family one.
  • Please note there's no Smoking or cooking in the Pods or else we'll set the bears on you!
  •  A £20 cash deposit is required for your key. This is in addition to the £10 traffic barrier fob deposit.
  • We regret no single-sex parties or groups of under 21's are allowed.

So, what have they got . . .  Quaint charm that the kids will love; a pukka roof that guarantees to keep you and your kit dry all weekend; half-glazed lockable doors for security and weather proofing; a rear high-level window for light and ventilation; two plug sockets, internal dimmable spot-lights, and an exterior light.

And what haven't they got?  A fridge or a cooker, so you'll still need to bring your own; beds or chairs; a fifty-four inch wall mounted telly. Or any telly come to that.

       Important info - Please Note:

  • A 10mph speed limit applies, and, for your safety, skateboarding and cycling etc is forbidden on park.
  • We have a freezer in reception for your ice packs (no food items though please).
  • Sorry – no commercial or tradesmen's vehicles are allowed on park.
  • If your party has a tent, or a gazebo, an additional plot will be required.
